Medical Information
Medical welfare assistance during the day is provided by a team of support staff and trained first aiders. Should an emergency arise, a student may be taken to the Horton General Hospital in Banbury which is within easy reach of the school.
Parents/carers will be notified if their child becomes ill enough to be a concern at school, and if the parent or carer is temporarily unobtainable, care will be taken of the student until contact with a parent/carer is made.
We ask parents/carers to let us have all medical information and emergency contacts as soon as possible and where required to be fully updated allowing us to keep accurate (confidential) records.
If a student is required to take medication whilst at school, we ask that contact is made with our admin team through contacting front reception; this information can then be delivered to our medical team to ensure that students are supported, if required, with taking or administering medication. We remind all parents and carers that children should carry no more than two pain killers such as paracetamol on their person.
Parents/carers are always welcome to contact the school to discuss matters of their child’s health and/or well-being. Please contact reception and ask to speak with Ms F Liston, or contact her using the form on the 'Contact Us' page here.
