Computing and ICT Department

In Computing we aim to ensure that all students can understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of computer science, including abstraction, logic, algorithms and data representation. Students need to be able to analyse problems in computational terms, and have repeated practical experience of writing computer programs in order to solve such problems. Students are required to be able to evaluate and apply information technology, including new or unfamiliar technologies and to solve problems analytically. Through their experiences in Computing lessons students are required to become responsible, competent, confident and creative users of information and communication technology.
